The inspiration for the Monkton font family came from the designer’s childhood experiences at Monkton, in Somerset, amidst an historic part of the country. Its name honours not only the area where the original alphabet was drawn, but also the people responsible for fostering the designers initial interest in letters. Monkton is an elegant face suitable for text and display setting.
