During the nineteenth-century Industrial Revolution, typeface development moved towards big, bold shapes that were often cut out of wood rather than metal. Juniper is one of the highly distinct display faces from that period that have enjoyed a revival. Because of the ornate structure of the characters, Juniper is best appreciated in large point sizes where its attractive letterforms can be seen to the greatest effect. Often found on posters, Juniper is seldom placed close to any body text as it has so dominant a personality.
