The squarish, connecting script ITC Kulukundis looks as though it was designed to be cast in shiny chrome for the side of a '50s American roadster. Daniel Pelavin, who also designed ITC Anna, based his new font very loosely on a vertical French script, but the sensibility is all his own. In Kulukundis, unlike calligraphic scripts, the lowercase letters all connect in exactly the same way. The straight diagonal joins give Kulukundis its broad, spacious character and keep it locked rigidly into a continuous line. You could easily use the face to create a decorative border that reveals itself on second glance as a line of very stylized type.
