ITC Century font

ITC Century is another example of how a popular old typeface can be restyled and brought up to date while still retaining the flavor and basic characteristics of the original design. In developing ITC Century, designer Tony Stan wanted to meld the basic proportions and traits of the original Century, Century Expanded and Century Schoolbook. A large family of carefully blended weights and proportions, ITC Century offers exceptional levels of character legibility. The typeface features a large x-height and the lowercase ascenders have been shortened. It also features fine hairlines and a subtle weight stress. Serifs are bracketed and the "half-serifs" on the "h," "m" and "n" are a distinguishing design trait. ITC Century and ITC Century Condensed are available in light, book, bold and ultra weights, each with a corresponding italic design.
