ITC Benguiat font

At first glance ITC Benguiat has strong Art Nouveau overtones. The diagonals of the "K" and "R" and even the crossbar of the "A" all have subtle curves where straight edges would normally reside. These curves combined with the Art Nouveau shapes found in the "C" "S" and "U" and bowls of characters like "b" "g" and "p" give ITC Benguiat much of its personality. Yet a closer look reveals much more: some definite oldstyle traits serifs which are almost Latin in design and even a hint of chancery script in the italic versions. Drawn by New York type designer Edward Benguiat ITC Benguiat is available in six weights - book medium and bold - each with a matching italic design. In addition there are six condensed versions of ITC Benguiat.
