ITC Bauhaus font

The prototype for ITC Bauhaus was created in 1925 by Herbert Bayer a professor at the famed Bauhaus school in Dessau Germany. ITC commissioned Edward Benguiat and Victor Caruso to combine their expertise in contemporay typographic design with the characteristics of the original Bayer typeface to create ITC Bauhaus. Its simple geometric shapes and monotone and even stroke weights provides ITC Bauhaus with a strong graphic look that makes it the well recognized and widely used sans serif face it is today. ITC Bauhaus comes in five weights: light medium demi bold and heavy.
